WWF-GT Climate Resilient Agriculture In Mixed Smallholder Farming Systems

The project aims to increase productivity and resilience in mixed smallholder farming systems for 450 smallholders across 20 communal tenure villages, through implementation of a basket of Climate Resilient Agriculture practices. We will

1. Work with existing CCA learning groups to scale up production in the short term within the confines of the COVID-19 pandemic
2. Support a range of intensified food production activities; vegetable production, field cropping and livestock integration
3. Improve social agency for value chain support (VSLAs’, bulk buying, local farmer centers and local marketing initiatives)

To ensure improved livelihoods (food, nutrition and income security) and for the development of social agency for community led local economic development and social safety net Improvement of the natural resource base.
