Northern Drakensberg Collaborative

This is a strategic water source area partnership of communities, public and private stakeholders that aims to

1. Enable coordinated governance and effective action on the ground to improve the resilience of the water source area,
2. Create opportunities for communities in these areas as well as shared co-benefits downstream and
3. Stop degradation of land and water resources to ensure compatible sustainable development

The process is being championed by the WWF and co-convened by the Institute of Natural Resources, the Centre for Water Resources Research at UKZN and Mahlathini Development Foundation.
