Invitation to Virtual Stakeholder Meeting towards establishing the Upper
uThukela Catchment Partnership
29 September 2029, Zoom Meeting, 10h00-12h00
Dear stakeholder
Towards establishingthe Upper Thukela Catchment Partnership, we have had a number of workshops
under the auspices of the SANBI Living Catchments Project. Through WWF, this process is being taken
forward as the existing engagements are well aligned with WWF’s aim to establish Strategic Water
Partnerships in the strategic water sources areas.
Following on from discussions that took place at a workshop in Bergville in May 2021, the Catchment
Indaba that was heldat Didima in November 2021, and a workshop in Bergville in June 2022, that
served as an Adaptive Planning Process (APP), we are inviting you to participate in a virtual meeting
on 29 September 2022.
We would like to have the opportunity to bring youon board, especiallyregarding the outcomes of
the APP workshop and establish a common purpose before the nextface-to-face multistakeholder
workshop, which is planned for November2022. Before the virtual meeting, we will circulate a Google
Form as a means of gathering some key information about your organisation and its work in the
catchment.
The proposed agenda for the meeting is as follows:
1.Introduction to the partnership process.
2.Update on previous workshops
3.Introductions, feedback from google form (mandates, activities, interests)
4.Inputs into the APP process (concerns, values and vision)
5.Wrap up (including the intention of the November workshop)
We see you, and your organisation, as a key actor in the catchment and would appreciate if you could
take the time to participate in the meeting.
