Global Nature Fund: Living Lakes replication project in partnership with the Wildtrust: Integrated Basin Management in a Degraded Northern Drakensberg Wetland Complex, RSA.
Project objective: Sustainable improvement of climate resilient agriculture and water and natural resources management, and thus the living and environ-mental conditions, for over 375 people in the five rural communities of Stulwane, Ezibomvini, eQeleni, Vimbu-khalo and eZinyonyane in Bergville, in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.
Activities to include: development of local water and resource management plans, Conservation Agriculture, wetland rehabilitation, local water access (spring protection) and strengthening of local governance and structures.
