This process inks to the upper uThukela water source stewardship programme and restoration work being undertaken by the Wild Trust in conjunction with the INR to also include veld restoration initiatives alongside alien clearing work.
Mahlathini is to focus on aspects of volumetric water benefit provided for by conservation agriculture (runoff, water productivity) and improved local water access as a pilot for inclusion of these practices into further governance, stewardship and climate adaptation processes in the region.
