UNISA Short Learning Programme in Food Security

The Short Learning programme in Food Security (NQF 4 Certificate programme), was designed as a mixed mode learning programme for matriculants in rural communities to undertake learning and implementation in facilitation of food security programmes and practices in their communities.

It was planned as a decentralised process where tutors were employed locally to support village-based participants in their learning processes, and consisted of 6 Modules undertaken over a year.

The programme was implemented nationally with around 600 students receiving certificates prior to programme closure by UNISA administration.
